2000 was the first year the MHBA sanctioned a Miniature Hereford show at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, CO. Forty eight entries from 16 breeders representing 7 states constituted the occasion. Cattle showing was a new experience for most of the breeders present, so we at the KP Ranch organized a crew to clip and fit almost everyone’s cattle for the show. Canadian Miniature Hereford breeders came without cattle to watch the show, as did breeders from WA, TX, MN, CO, GA, and AR. The event proved to be a great experience for all who attended and participated, the gathering ended with everyone looking forward to next year’s show.
