The primary goal of
the MHBA is to progressively promote the Miniature Hereford breed
and assist breeders in the success of their own operations.
Miniature Hereford
shows are a fine example of this progress, this is where breeders
from all across the country unite for competition, comradeship,
conversation and/or advice.
The MHBA members are
a fantastic group of individuals working together to greet and
assist new breeders as well as veteran breeders needing help.
Currently the MHBA
sanctioned shows are:
- National Western
Stock Show in Denver (January)
- Houston Livestock
Show & Rodeo in Houston (March)
- The Star of Texas
Fair and Rodeo in Austin (March)
- California State
Fair in Sacramento (August)
Each year at the
National Western Stock Show the MHBA has an auction, a banquet and
a business meeting.
We enjoy working
together, helping and welcoming new breeders & any breeder needing
a hand.
Annual membership
fees cover a yearly subscription of the quarterly publication,
Miniature Cattle Around the World that keeps you up-to-date with
the happenings within the bred, and allows you to show in MHBA
sanctioned shows. Membership also allows you to participate in
educational functions and training seminars featured at shows, (
showmanship clinics and fitting clinics. ) and the annual
Miniature Hereford auction held in Denver in conjunction with the
show. Voting rights regarding MHBA issues are given to active MHBA
members.
We
look forward to working with ALL Miniature Hereford
breeders across our country and Canada to unite breeders and
progressively promote the breed.
